Filter Presses are one of the most commonly used filters used widely for seperating of solids from liquids in the Dyestuff, Chemicals, Ceramics, Food, Minerals, Pharmaceuticals and Waste water treatment industries. The filter press consists of two fixed head pieces and a moveable piece. Between these pieces are chambers formed by plates and frames or recessed plates. The plates are covered with filter cloth. The plates are hung on a pair of horizontal support bar and pressed together during filteration to form a water tight closure between plates. The press can be closed manually, hydraulically or by a motor drive. The slurry to be processed is pumped between the plates where the filterate is collected along a channel system or through individual laps at each of the plates. The cake between the plates is then washed until it is free of the mother liquor. The discharge of solids is released by opening the closing device.

DESCRIPTION:
SPARKLER FILTER: Totally enclosed air sealed leak proof filtration plant assembly. It consists of a filter cartridge assembly having material of construction Mild steel or stainless steel 304,316,316L filter plates, support screen, having interlocking cups and fitted in the Main shell tank. Filter is equipped with special arm device in Mild steel for quick opening of filter lid cover. Unit provided with all interconnecting pipelines and Ball valves having inlet/outlet/transfer/air vent, valve pressure gauge assembly, and suitable pump with ISI make TEFC/FLAME PROOF motor, with ‘V’ belt and pulley drive. The whole unit is mounted on SS or MS trolley fitted with fiber or Cast Iron castor wheel for easy movement.
Operation :

The unfiltered liquid is fed into the filter under positive pressure, where liquid travels in downwards direction and finds its way through opening on sides of the Filter Plates.
As the liquid pressure increases, the Filter media holds the foreign particles and allows only clear filtrate to pass through the central channel formed by interlocking pressure cups to the outlet. Filtration is continued until the cake holding capacity of the unit is reached or until the filtrate rate becomes too slow owing to cake resistance.

SALIENT FEATURES:
- Manufactured from Mild steel, Stainless steel 304/316/316L quality, argon is welded and mirror polished.
- Horizontal Plate Filter Press is enclosed construction, preventing evaporation, oxidation, leakage and fumes escaping from product.
- Filter plates are available in two sizes. Deep plate for large percentage of cake holding capacity and Shallow plate for small percentage of cake holding capacity.
- The horizontal filter plate and even thickness of cake, prevents the cake dropping as well as cracking, thus assuring better filtrate quality.
- The Filtration area and cake holding capacity can be increased or decreased according to requirement.
- It can be provided with different types of pumps depending in the viscosity of liquid and output i.e. ‘Gear Pump/ Centrifugal Pump/ Lobe Pump/ Roto Pump’.
- M.S. / S.S. Jacket is provided for hot filtration & Cooling.
- Provided with bypass system & safety valve.
- Sample collecting device is provided.
- Complete Mild Steel or Stainless Steel stand with fiber or Cast Iron castor wheels and MS or SS cover to the motor.
- Arrangement provided to remove last drop of liquid from Scavenger plate.
- It is used for crystal clear filtration of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, resins, beverages, distillery, oil, ink, and other industry.

DESCRIPTION:
ZERO HOLD UP FILTER: it fulfill all the demands for the filtrations, which would discharge solid free filtrate. S.F. zero hold up horizontal closed pressure filter press is able to solve the majority of separation problem with additional features from new concept of zero hold up horizontal closed pressure filter as compare to well known conventional type design. Different size range, materials of construction and option available ensure that your precise requirements can be accommodated from S.F. ZERO HOLD UP FILTER range.
OPERATION:
The plate pack assembly consists of plates with interlocking cups, plate rings, perforated screens and filter media. Interlocking cups arranged one above other forms single pipeline. The unfiltered liquid is centrally fed under pressure from bottom inlet. The liquid spreads out equally on each plate fitted with filter media. Solids remains on the filter media and clear filtrate flows through gaps on the supporting rings and collects in the shell, which is led out through outlet pipeline. In this process, solids are evenly distributed on each plate. At the end of the cycle the cake can be maximum dried by applying air or inert gas.
The liquid to be filtered is pumped to the tank, where it enters into the individual plates. It passes through the filter media (Paper/Cloth) and crystal clear filtrate comes out through a central channel formed by interlocking cups. The cake formed between the plates can be obtained if required. |
